KITT AND KABOODLE

In this episode of Fanatical, we head to Fort Worth, Texas. Here, we meet Natalie, president and web-master of a successful online, Knight Rider fan-club.

Natalie has been an avid Knight Rider fan since she was an infant and credits the show and it’s characters for getting her through tough times, including a serious bout of depression when she was a teenager.

Now with a renewed confidence and determination, Natalie has taken the Knight Rider fan world by storm, with an enviable collection of memorabilia and a steel dedication to her website and fellow fans.

We take a tour through Natalie’s impressive collection before joining her on her 4th annual trip to the Knight Rider Nationals Convention where she interacts with other fans and brings her online world to life.

We move on to Michigan to visit Rob Louisell. Rob gave up a career in law enforcement to follow his dream of building replica KITT cars.

Rob had talked about building a KITT car for years and slowly began to convert his Trans Am into the famous vehicle. His Knight Rider car gained Rob much attention and demand for Knight Rider conversions soared.

Ten years on and Rob’s company is the only certified Universal Studios officially licensed vendor of Knight Rider conversion parts and accessories.

We spend time with Rob and his two sons in their workshop, seeing a number of the complex stages that go into making one KITT replica. We also take part in the Louisell Enterprises Open House Event, a chance for Rob to meet and bond with fellow Knight Rider enthusiasts and give them a demonstration of the famed car that he and his sons build.
