Tele-transport yourself into the world of Stargate fans!  Meet Lisa Ide from Austin, Texas.  Through her love of Stargate this mother of three has discovered her hidden creative talents, created long lasting friendships, and found an escape from her exhausting schedule as a “full time mommy”. 

Lisa says that she lives two lives; a normal life, and a fan girl life!  Join Lisa as she attends the official Stargate convention in Vancouver, British Columbia.  Watch as Lisa tours the Stargate set, competes in the costume contest, and meets up with her online friends she hasn’t seen in ages! 

From there meet 23 year old David Read – a Stargate fan who’s love of the series landed him his dream job.  David is a community manager for Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment – the company that is currently developing a brand new multi-player on-line Stargate video game.

David’s role is to act as liaison between fans and the developers. He is also the proud co-editor in chief of www.gateworld.com and creator of the online Stargate bible featured on the Gate World website. 

David’s dream job is sending him the very same convention in Vancouver that Lisa is attending.  Watch as David schmooze’s with his fellow fans and lives out this once in a life time opportunity as a professional fan.
